What products do you offer?
We specialise in cardigans, but our store also offers accessories (such as jewellery and small add-ons), as well as exclusive limited-edition items.

How can I place an order?
Browse our online store at www.thecardigandepartment.com, select your items, and proceed to checkout. Follow the prompts to provide shipping and payment information. You’ll receive an email confirmation once your order is placed.

Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?
We are generally unable to cancel or modify orders once they have been placed. Please review your order carefully before confirming. If you contact us at orders@thecardigandepartment.com before your order has shipped, we will do our best to help, though this cannot be guaranteed as our inbox can take 24–48 hours for a reply. Please include your order number in the subject line.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, and other secure payment options listed at checkout.

Where do you ship from?
We ship from the UK, EU, and China, depending on your location and the item ordered.

Cardigans are primarily produced and shipped from China (with occasional UK/EU pieces).

Accessories are mostly supplied from China, though in the past we have worked with UK and EU suppliers.

We sometimes hold limited stock in our UK office, so UK orders may occasionally be fulfilled directly from within the UK.

Likewise, we may ship some EU orders from our EU fulfilment centre, when stock is available there.

Because stock locations vary and are subject to availability, we mark all shipments with a standard delivery timeline of 7–14 business days. In practice, most orders typically arrive within 7–10 business days.

Where are your products made?
Our cardigans are mainly produced in China, with some selected or collaborative pieces involving UK or EU production. Accessories are also primarily sourced from China. It’s a common misconception that “Made in China” automatically means poor quality. This is not the case. Many well-known fashion brands also produce their knitwear and accessories in China. What matters is how and where items are made: we work with trusted partners who ensure safe working conditions, fair pay, and consistent quality control. All designs originate in the UK by our small team (often just one or two people). In the case of collaborations, the designer is always credited in the product description.

How can I track my order?
Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number and a link to follow your package. If the link doesn’t work, you can also track directly on our courier’s tracking portal using your order number and email address.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to many countries worldwide. Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on your location and will be shown at checkout.

How often do you release new merchandise?
We release new products regularly, from seasonal cardigans to limited-edition collaborations. To stay updated, follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter.

Will my order incur import charges?

UK & EU customers: You will not usually face customs charges, as shipments are routed appropriately to minimise this.

US customers: With the new tariffs and taxes, all costs are already included in the price at checkout, so you will not incur additional fees when your order arrives.

Other international customers: In most cases, orders pass through customs without additional charges. However, if your package is selected for inspection, the purchaser (customer) is responsible for paying any import duties or taxes.

Do you offer discounts or promotions?
Yes, we offer several ways to save:

10% off for first-time buyers when you sign up to our newsletter via the pop-up on the main page.

Regular giveaways on Instagram and X (Twitter). In the past 18 months, we have given away over 22 cardigans completely free.

Seasonal or short-term sales, though not all items are always included, as this is at our discretion.

All promotions and sales are announced on our social media channels.
